Frequently asked questions.

How is your physical therapy different from other companies?

We take the time to learn your story so we understand what is important to you. We don't try to fit your situation into a mold that doesn't match what you want. We consider everything from your previous injuries, treatments, training history, your lifestyle, your preferences and concerns and more. We believe that everything in the body is connected, so we evaluate the site of the symptoms as well as the whole body.

What type of conditions do you treat?

We are doctoral-level trained physical therapists that treat an array of medical conditions not limited to symptoms related to musculoskeletal conditions, neurological conditions, cardiovascular conditions, and post-operative cases.

How long do your sessions typically last?

Your evaluation will be 75 minutes long and all and follow-up sessions will all be 1-hour long. every session will be one-on-one with your performance physical therapist.

What can I expect during my initial session?

Deep dive into your story - We want to understand the pain you're experiencing, your goals, medical/injury history, your likes and dislikes, and ultimately, everything that led you to seek us out.

Movement exploration - We will conduct a tailored assessment. This allows us to understand how your body functions as a whole and determine opportunities for improvement and relief.

Personalized Plan and Next Steps - We discuss our findings and develop specific movements/exercises that will help you improve, creating a program that fits your lifestyle.

How many sessions will I need?

After your initial assessment, your physical therapist will provide you with a recommendation based on your needs. The majority of clients feel better, move better, and are ready to perform within 10-12 sessions.

What do I need to wear or bring to my first session?

We are movement based so we recommend you to bring any sort of clothing that you feel comfortable moving in.

Do I need a prescription/referral from my doctor to receive physical therapy treatment?

In the state of California, You can see a PT directly for 45 calendar days or 12 visits (whichever comes first) without a referral. After that, you will need a referral (if you are requesting super bills).

If you are not requesting super bills, it is not required.

Can I use my HSA/FSA?

Yes! We do accept HSA/FSA. We are an out-of-network provider so we do not take health insurance BUT we can provide superbills for people with out-of-network benefits based on request.

Please note that FSA expenses are considered incurred when the health care or dependent care services are actually provided. They cannot be paid for future services and therefore PT packages are not eligible for FSA usage.

What is a Superbill?

A superbill is a type of medical receipt you may be able to use to get reimbursed directly through your insurance (depending on your benefits).

What is your cancellation policy?

If you cancel or reschedule, we require a 24 hours advance notice. If you cancel or reschedule within 24 hours, you will be charged full price for the session. Thank you for understanding.
